Medical Marijuana
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone know of a doctor in NJ that will prescribe marijuana? I have tried everything short of surgery and I am in constant pain. All of my doctors don't believe it can help for pain but I disagree.

I agree. I live in TX where its still illegal. I only do it when I'm in tears with pain and throwing up.

Thanks everyone! I have done a lot of research on cannabis and have come to the conclusion that it would help with pain and many other conditions. It is legal in many states but it's also a federal crime, so many doctors don't want to go through the trouble with the laws. Washington DC is the only place where you can legally have weed on you and not get arrested, but it has to be givin to you. You can't buy it from anyone. Go figure! Our country's capital allows you to carry, but the rest of the country is back in the 80's. A lot of people have moved to states that are a little less strict than NJ. It was legal in US until the pharmaceutical companies caught on and put their big corporate lobbyists to work! Hemp was a very useful commodity. The constitution of the US is printed on hemp!
Thanks again for the feedback.

I am in Australia and hemp oil is supposed to be good. Interested to find out more but doctors do not seem to want to talk about it at all. I guess I really hate to think this way, but are the drug companies incharge?

I have idiopathic constipation and my doctor just gave me 3 sample of medication to help 1. Symproic 2. Amatiza and 3. Linzess.
Miralax softens my stools but does not work on the stomach muscles that cause the actual movement which is due to narcotic pain meds.
I would ask your doctor to give you samples.
