Radio Frequency
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi has anyone had radio frequency to their facet/sacroiliac joints please ? I usually have Injections but the pain team are wanting to try this procedure where they burn the nerve root ends I know they gradually grown back but this is supposed to give better results the injections are so painful I am rather scared to have this for the pain is supposed to be worse can anyone reassure me please? Thanks in advance Tina 😘 Xx

Yes I've had it done 3 times. It never last a full 6 months and this last time it only lasted about 4. To be fair the pain has shifted from localized on the right side to the right and left so that may have something to do with it. The most pain I felt was when they did the numbing injections but I didn't really have any pain with the other injections prior to moving on to the RFA. I am seeing a new pain Doc and he is recommending that I move on to a SCS Implant. I seems nothing is the be all end all fix, but the RFA did help.

I'm going to have this done soon too. I did take one of the guys at my shelter to have it done and he had great results

I've had that done..It's a bit uncomfortable..But with it
My pain went away for over a year
..I use meditation to get me through the
Procedure..Takes a little time to kick in..But definitely worth it.

Hi @A MyChronicPainTeam Member my friend said it was fine, they sedated him first. He has had great relief so I'd say it was successful
