Botulinum Toxin Injection
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had this injection just the once but it did not work. Why is it done to the surgeon? I do agree I had to wait all day for the injection (Got to hospital by 7.30 went into theatre 4.30 then it didn't work!)
I was told that it releases the muscles and that is why they use it on peoples faces because it releases the muscles that cause wrinkles.
May have worked better on them than on my leg! LOL

I quit doing shots in my back, they never worked anyway. I got 2 shots in my right ankle, 1 on each side almost 2 weeks ago. My other half(arthritis in spine) has been being such a loving and attentive man. Im getting along nicely with my air boot, I'm not supposed to be doing all t hat i am. But my sweetheart needs help, also we have our 87 yr old Papa, and our adopted Chihuahua just had 2 rocks removed from his penis,in the bone. He's in alot of pain,so he gets HIS PAIN MEDS orally in the a.m.!! I know I probably didn't answer your question, but thanks for "reading"

I've had many, many rounds of what seem to be the same injections with different names, nerve block, facet (?) block, etc. Last time they injected me six times. All that seems to happen is that I can feel the nerves being aggravated as the medicine works its way through and I actually feel worse for the first day after, which I was told could happen. Otherwise, no relief, or at best, maybe my legs don't throb as much at night.
