Can doctors legally just cut people off that has been on a certain pain medicine for 12 years?

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member doctor can refuse to have you as a patient. If he has been treating you it is medical procedure to refer you to another doctor of the right scope.

They sure can and will. They will not necessarily be nice about it since they are under pressure to rid chronic pain patients of opioids. They will normally let you wean off, though, if they are ethical.

It isnt right but its becoming more common n ending ppl in hospital as a result or worse all part of the opioid crisis apparently
