I am fortunate not to get addicted because i have had to take it for 10 yrs now but it gives me the chance to have some quality of life. I have never run out early probably because i do remember that if i have no meds at end of the month i would be close to being suicidal because the pain is so so bad. I am lucky i know. I have a lot of discipline around this. But even a trip to the hospital they take away ALL my pain meds(thinking they know better than my own doctor of 12 yrs. ). I end up crying on day three and actually beg to be released!. If i don't get hurt from falling i do not go. This past time i had a seizure and some one called EMS.

I think ALL painkillers can be addictive. I take Oxynorm. But if I stopped I would be in agony

If you are talking about Avinza, it is morphine sulphate. I would assume because of the morphine that it would be addictive. It is an opiod.
