I tried many yrs of alternitives to opioids . After 17 yrs of safe pain treatment with opioids will I have hope before I die to again have opioid painrelief again at age 63?
When you say safe are you meaning you always took as prescribed with no accidental overdoses or other problem accidental instances. If so I don’t see why at 63 you would be denied proper pain relief. There are as far as I know limitations on opioids due to effects on your ability to breath and interactions with medications used in older age diseases. This is an interesting question as I am on opioids to treat chronic pain and acute pain due to my chronic conditions. I am currently 55 which is not far from 63. Good luck with your challenge. I hope for relief for you.
Yes mine did, but I found I had better luck with pain management doc and now palliative doctor..
Can my family dr ( internal medicine) prescribe me the chronic pain opioids I need? He knows the surgeries I have had & my reason for my need of pain relief. Pain Managment dr today only inject & surgeries. I’ve tried all can my family dr prescribe needed opioids?
