Has Anyone Here Been Diagnosed With Myalgic Encephalomyelitis?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I had glandular fever (mononucleosis) for the second time a year ago and since then i have had undiagnosed pain/fatigue. I know that myalgic encephalomyelitis effects everyone differently and I am now fairly confident it may be that.

There are people that believe that mono does have an affect on fibromyalgia. I believe I've had fibromyalgia my entire life so I don't know that mono caused mine, but I did have mono in my 30s so I do have the Epstein Barr virus in my body. Problem is that they can only test for mono, and their seem to be multiple levels. You should read a book called The Medical Medium. Don't remember the author. He has a lot to say about the Epstein Barr virus. There is also a diet to follow. I have a friend with fibromyalgia that said that diet did help her.

RanaeHeather,
I suggest you look up information about the Epstein Barr virus which causes mono and has been believed to cause fibromyalgia which you say you do not have.
It may have something to do with myalagic encephalomyelitis.
I’m sure you are stressed being that you are a nursing student. (I’m an RN).
The information I read suggests to eat foods that boost your immune systems.
Best Wishes 😁

I just wan to say that if you need a expert on ME the best highly trained physicians are at Stamfords CSF/ME department. Dr. Montoya is the leading physician there and he and is team have made significant breakthroughs in treating the disease.

I'm so sorry too hear that. It's a very difficult disease to navigate through.

I sweetheart, I have ME, Lupus and other autoimmune diseases. If you have ME fatigue, body pain, fevers, and other things are part of having that disease. Have you been tested for Epstein Barr infection? If you need information on ME I can refer you to sites.
