Why, as many are here for their own chronic pain, isn't there an option for 'disabled', under 'What's your situation?'

I don't believe that because the government has not recognize us as disabled, does not mean that we aren't disabled.
It was 6 years, after I could not stand sit, before I was recognized as disable, but clearly those are disability symptoms.
I don't think that there are a large number of people here that can still work, but I think most of us would like to work.

I'm so sorry about your suffering, you are way too young to be in such pain, but than again, Pain, knows no age. At least you're trying, getting out 1 day a week! I'm 65, been on disability for maybe 3 years, but I believe that the line of work I did for over 30 years, didn't help, with all my aches and pains.plus hereditary doesn't help either, but pain, does not discriminate. Just have to do the best we can, and face each day, with positivity. ;)
@A MyChronicPainTeam Member, I agree with Jean. Just because disability has turned you down, doesn't mean you aren't disabled. They try not to give out disability and don't really pay attention to why you are saying you are disabled. Yes, it takes a lot to prove it, but just because they say you aren't disabled does not mean they are right.
Not true. Been fighting for disability for 4 years now. I'm 59.
They should have a fill-in option!
