My husband told me that Pres. Trump said he’d like to do away with half of all pain meds use! I’ve been on pain meds off and on from 21 to mid 30’s since I had received approx. 20+ surgeries in that time. Then 20 years ago ruptured L-4 and L-5, L-5 S-1. Pain was unbearable . I know that they are bad people out there, but we are not one of them, and yet we get treated like we are bad, because we are in pain and what helps us is being decided by people who do not feel what we do

Sadly, most pain clinics are not going to give you pain meds. They don't make any money that way. I've been to them, never again. So sorry, I know this isn't what you wanted to hear. 😞
Does anyone know doctors here in the Chicagoland area that will prescribe Dilaudid? I have periferal neuropathy in both legs, a cracked tibia that hasn't healed properly, my knee caps are loosing their cartilage, I have excruciating lower back pain, and two cracked vertebrate in my neck. Everyone is cutting down or even eliminating just about any opioid med.
Mine is still prescribing, but I can't say he would, unless there's some plan towards dealing with those pain conditions… read more

I have been diagnosed with neuropathy but doctors cant find the cause. i am not diabetic. I had thyroid cancer and Hashemotis disease in 1987 and had been quite healthy until 2003 when i collapsed with 2 litres of fluid in my lung later diagnosed as pleurisy. Since then i have been on a merry go round of diagnosis including rheumatoid arthritis (later proved negative) with the latest being alymoidosis. My doctor quoted some CDC report that was intended as a guideline for general practitioners that said no chronic pain patient should be prescribed more then 90mmg of morphine equalivent for chronic pain patients irregardless of pain levels or time on opioids. The DEA jumped all over this reccomdation and is using it to force pain doctors to drasticly cut medications, leaving millions of us in dire pain without help or hope.
