Neurontin: D Like T
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is it wise to taper off of gabapentin slowly? My prescription is far above the studied dosage, and have experienced some confused thought process...i.e.) losing words, short term memory loss. I've been on it for several years, but my condition has worsened and is better controlled with another med.

Does Anyone Have Experience Of Taking Duloxetine?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, amongst other things, but I'm in the process of changing over from an antidepressant that I've been taking for 27 years, for anxiety and depression. Im changing from Clomipramine to Duloxetine because Duloxetine, as well as being an antidepressant, apparently helps with chronic pain. I wondered if anyone on here has experience of either, changing over, and/or taking Duloxetine? I'd appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you.

Has Anyone Else Decided To Go With Pain Managment Instead Of Pain Killers?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

At one point I was on 12 T3’s a day for the lower back pain from the collapsing discs; especially S1-L5. The next step was to go on Opiods (hope I spelled it right) anyway. I decided to go for a breast reduction and pain management instead. Anyone else?

How Do You Decide Whether Or Not To Visit The Hospital With Your Chronic Pains
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ive avoided going to the hospital when my pelvic pains flair up, because i know theres nothong they can do for me. Ive taken panadol, ibuprofen, and my prescribed codeine, none of it helps and i usually end up vomiting because of how painful it can get, its imobilising. I know the hospital cant give me anything or help in any way, i usually just get a few tests and am told to go home. And just wait for my ultrasound in 2 weeks from now. Help?
