Anyone Else Experience Heartburn And Intense Sweating/feeling Hot When Late On Dose Of Gabapentin?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am on gabapentin at quite a large dose, 300mg twice during the day and 600 at night before bed. I noticed that if I am even an hour late on a dose I will experience heartburn and awful sweating, on some occasions when I am set to take it in the morning and my alarm didn't go off and I overslept, I would and still will wake up with tremendous heartburn and will have been so hot and sweating so badly that I will literally have to shower and change the bed sheets😱! I try not to be late on it… read more

Ive take both Gabapentin and I'm on lyrica now. When you are late you start withdrawl, hence the sweating and heatr burn. Take note of your extremities when you are late, you'll notice that they feel strange and foreign to your body as well. I also get the yawns when I'm late with a dose, and of late the yawns start an hour before my dose is due. You are far feom being alone.
Why switch from Lyrica to Gabapentin? I feel better relief ant lower doses of the Lyrica. I also got an override to get the name brand, the generic doesnt work for me.
Good luck, sounds like you need to go back to lyrica to me. But that is my opioion.

Blessings

Yes Ma'am. When they tried to switch me from Lyrica to Gabapentin, my experience mirrored yours. I too was on a higher dose, if I missed one my chest would hurt. Night sweats occured with both drugs but with Gaba it was worse. The heartburn was relentless and constant, it actually gave me a stomach ulcer and that's when they decided to switch me back slowly! Please listen to Don, it is vital that they bring you down slowly so you dont experience even worse symptoms. Be careful!. Sending you love and praying they can find something better for your pain!!

Late on my Fentanyl and I just hurt more. Coming off Opioids. I hurt and could not sleep. Don't just stop the Gabi, your doctor will cut you back slowly. I was cutting my Fentanyl patch in half.

I take Lyrica three times a day and if I skip a dose I get sick. Dr. said to take all three doses. I also get indigestion real bad and takes forever to go away.

Fentanyl patches worked on me. I liked that it avoided my stomach. You don't realize how much it is helping until you come off.
Now just THC and OTC.
