My employer hired me knowing my pain issue and at first was very good with me. But almost 3 years later and a rough year with flares and hospitalizations, my boss keeps giving me extra hours then taking them away, if I try to get time off for doctors or like this last time, going to the ER for having Cellulitis. Sh'e punishing me for having pain. Even my friends have noticed. I depend on these hours. I want to know if I can do anything to stop this repeated behavior.How have others dealt with… read more

I have had to take early retirement as my enployer was not happywith me taken time off to go to the hospital
Or doctor.
I get a small penchine every month and I get an allowance from the government asI amnot able to gou to work.
I hope this helps you I am in Great Britain.

Do u have a FMLA paper on file with your job? Legally if signed by a dr.. u can have up to 12 weeks off a year without being in jeopardy of lising your job. And it can be intermittent absences. I had one. U have to get it renewed every year. A lot of people don't know about FMLA... Thank you ex president Bill Clinton. The one really good thing he did while in office was help protect people from losing their jobs due to illnesses of themselves or their immediate family members.
