Escaping Chronic Pain - The Odds?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was sitting here in a cold Birmingham UK, having just taken my 6 hourly meds., and wondered what the odds are of people escaping the Chronic Pain cycle after having been 'in it' for more than 12 years, or at any point in the cycle for that matter?

I guess I'm fortunate. The various doc's, specialists and consultants I've seen were unable to agree what the cause/s is/are, but I have at least got meds., that relieve the pain that afflicts me by about 25% (some of the time), even though the… read more

Why Are We Being Treaing Like We Are Bad People Because We Are In Pain
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I know that they are bad people out there, but we are not one of them, and yet we get treated like we are bad, because we are in pain and what helps us is being decided by people who do not feel what we do

Why Are Drugs Mostly Always The Answer?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have lower back pain for years. Now I have Sciatica along with everything else. I have gone to Neurologists, Ortho guys, my Primary, a Chiro and a few others, and mostly the only thing offered to me is Drugs. I can have "anything I want" from Asprin to Percoset. I dont want any of it. I want to find a treatment or cure that I can actually live with. PT doesnt work for me bevause it only brings on more pain. I'm 71, I'd like to enjoy the years I have left.

What Do You Do When The Pain Is So Bad That You Are Screaming Into The Pillow "please Make It Stop!"
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I lost my primary care physician a year ago when he retired and left me with no doctor. FYI: In my state that is against the law! Now because of the whole "opioid epidemic" no doctor in my town will touch me! I can't even find any of these 1000's of pain meds that are sold on every street corner! Believe me, that is BS! So for a year I have suffered, alone. It has gotten so bad, I can't walk across the room without using a cane
And there are days like today when all I can do is scream… read more

Comments From People That Have Weaned Off Of Narcotics By Your Choice.
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Lately it seems as though there are several people weaning off medications by their own personal choice. I'm not referring to those of you that are being forced to get off of meds. I'd be interested in hearing your results; comments. If you have been force to get off of narcotics and had good results, please share. Jean
