Coping/connecting Music Playlist.
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m curious to know for all my family out there, what music do you listen to when coping or trying to connect with your higher power? If you don’t have a higher power, what do you use to connect with yourself at the deepest levels?

How Do I Share A Picture Of My Companion Animal.
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

His name is Bugsie, were together 24\7, sometimes he's my only company. He warns me when Ive got a migraine coming on. He keeps me active when I'm able but is quite happy just hanging out on the couch watching a movie or curling up in bed with me in bad days. He also keeps me calm through stressful situations - I have a paradoxical reaction to anxiety meds, so he is my anxiety 💊. When were out he's strictly business but relaxes & let's loose at home. I don't think I'd make it out of bed or leave… read more

A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have insomnia because it was about to rain. Still can't sleep. Do I get up and clean up something small or big, so something else serious, or binge watch the TV / read a dumb /fun/pre textbook still. It's 330 where I am so hurry up and answer, lol 8+) be cool.

I have tried Insight Timer. It has many different meditations and even LOA affirmations. Sometimes, though, I fall asleep while they're talking and then wake up when they finish, so oh, well.

How To Sleep More Than An Hour
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been in a flare since around Thanksgiving, I also took two Falls in the same night affecting my neck and shoulders mostly, I followed up with my surgeon; but, X-rays didn’t show anything. I’ve been bed ridden since. My question is this, how can I sleep for more than an hour or so without waking from the pain? (My sides are my only option for sleeping due to 7 Spinal surgeries.) I can’t get out of my house for any length of time, my walls are closing in on me!!! Any suggestions greatly… read more

Well This Is A Bad Day. Ever Feel Like Everything Bad Seems To Seek Out Your Depression Days?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

So yeah I had aqua therapy yesterday and I am in pain today, we are both depressed and trying to get through it and we just found out Anthony Bourdain committed suicide, due to depression! On top of all this, there are certain people who I am trying to distance myself from, that won't quit texting me in an attempt to pull me back in. I am already in pain, am depressed, they disrespected that and caused me trouble and I find out Anthony died! What's a person to do?!

A MyChronicPainTeam Member

I think they kind of feed on each other and it kind of goes without saying, but that is maybe just me. I do know the best thing you can do, if possible is not let the depression take you over and it`s… read more

Who Else Became Terribly Depressed With Chronic Pain?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

How long did it take for u to get depressed once u started having pain every day? What treatments did you have to help..
Other than therapy and antidepressants?
I've used music , art and other distractions but sometimes that stuff doesn't help. And what happens when u can't hardly walk because of the pain? Do u just fade into seclusion? How do you get up and going when u feel like giving up?
