I'm always encouraged when I hear about someone getting helped by something they're given. I tried Cymbalta, as well as numerous other anti-depressant medications that are used to treat fibromyalgia, chronic pain and panic disorder. I don't have depression, but every one of these medications have caused depression so I stopped taking them. I've not yet found anything other than pain medication (I presently take 50 mg Tramadol 3x a day but barely takes the edge off). I also take 600mg of Neurontin 3x daily for post chemo neuropathy, Cyclobenzaprine for muscle spasms and Xanax for panic disorder. In addition I take Epsom salts baths, use essential oils, supplements, ice, heat and my precious husband massages my back with Arnica cream at night. It's a daily struggle.
At this point I refuse anymore meds that mess with my brain. They've caused more harm than good.

I am on 60 mg of Cymbalta 2x daily and it is the best thing for Fibro for me It does take time for your body to adjust to it. The dizziness when bending or moving too fast was the biggest problem and sometimes still is.
Hopefully, things will get better. Hugs, Lorri

Watch out for the side effects. I am a side effect magnet and I got some terrible ones. I think it's a good med if you Don't get the side effects.

I took it and I thought it helped the pain but the side effects were too much to handle for me. I have heard too that the generic causes more side effects than the much more expensive name brand and I was on the generic
