Neurontin (gabapentin) is commonly used for nerve pain. I have problems with my sciatic nerve and the neurontin has been very helpful in keeping the pain under control. I take 1800 mg a day.

I also take Neutontin(gabapentin) for sciatic pain and reastless leg syndrome. I find that it makes a dramatic change in my pain at night and low back/hipand leg nerve pain, and migranes. I am prescribed 1800 mg a day also. I currently take Opana for pain and Butabitol/ace/caffene for over the top pain.

Wow that's good to know it does help me but then when I had to stop taking it recently because of swollen legs &feet .... It all come back so suppose it's the only thing that really helps but I don't want to be taking it for the rest of my life....
