If it's locking up, maybe a relaxer or a benzodiazepine would help? And hydrocodone is less extreme.

What type of pain is it....nerve, muscle? What kind of injury did you have? What types of meds and treatments have you already tried...physical therapy, ultrasound, massage, etc.

He has agreed to up my dose at night to 15mg was hoping to be put on orthamorph

I shattered my elbow and I'm awaiting surgery it keeps me awake and I'm not getting any sleep as it keeps locking and I wake up screaming

I took oxycodone for years and my doctor switched me to an equal dose of dilaudid and it was much better for my pain.
