It seems to be a common theme that most of us with fibromyalgia, haven't heard of, savella. I will ask my Dr about it. Does anyone know if it has a side effect of dry mouth?
I don't have fibro. Not on Savella. I do have dry mouth from meds. My teeth are gradually being extracted. Some of them had actually broken off and fallen out, leaving a stump of a tooth. Abcesses, which I'm on second round of antibiotics for. You can try biotene, but it's a pain to remember to use it frequently. Dentist just said my teeth are decaying from lack of saliva. Oh well, his plan is to give me partial, but I think I'm going to have full dentures before this is done.
Yes it did give me dry mouth.
I was on a medication that dried my mouth I could not even swallow food unless I took water. While my gums were fine my teeth just got so bad. Well after broken teeth and the rest the 7 teeth I have on top are coming out and ended getting implants.. Saved two years to be able to pay for them too. It was funny because they have you try different sizes and whiteness ect and I was like when I saw the first attempt (it usually take a few tries to get them to looks right) but I was like they are too white and straight and big. I ended up showing them a picture when I had a full smile with my real teeth and it like see this tooth is a little crooked and there is a little space here and their is a spot there. Well they made them just like I wanted. Teeth that do not look fake. There is over the counter mouth stuff that can help with dry mouth. Also your doctor can prescribe washes that help make the enamel stronger which can help too.
@A MyChronicPainTeam Member, I started taking 'sevella' about two months ago and it does help with fibro pain! Nothing else has worked for me. So I'm a fan of 'sevella'! Nothing helps when I go in to a flare! It does give you dry mouth, but not as bad as some medication do! I just drink alot of water, and gator aid. That keeps your elerolites where they are supposed to be! Hugs!
Thank you
