I haven't found anything to help except pain relievers sometimes they don't even work. My Neurosurgeon told me to lose weight which seems to be every doctor specialist mantra these days & not look for the cause of why we have gained weight. We don't won't it so why would we have it if we could get rid of the excess. I just find its a cop out & no help whatsoever.

Ice, massage, TENS all help me as does gentle stretching . Heat increases my pain. Everyone is different, try a few things and find what works for you.
