I don't know what is exactly wrong with you but I have nerve ending pain in my spine and inflammation etc, I find that an ice pack on the spot is more beneficial than medication most of the time. Only tae the strong meds if I cannot get rid of pain with ice. Also alternated with heat is an be really beneficial. Give it a try and good luck. Sending hugs. xxx

I have several Thermapore brand, heat pads that I have been using for over 20 years. This is not a regular heat pad! It takes the moisture from your body and reflects it back into the body. The pad is powerful (draws 200 watts) and is controlled by a spring loaded switch that you must hold to keep it on. I have used it on my damaged spine with fair to good results. I don't think it works well for deeper pain (hip socket), but it serves as a distraction from pain. It is expensive but last a long, long time, as noted above.

Becky I find that it would be ideal to include what type of pain when asking a question like this, vagueness breeds a lack of constructive answers.
