Want The Chance To Public Comment About Your Opioid Medication Being Taken Away Or Reduced During The War On Opioids?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I am extremely frustrated as I hear more and more of the media getting onto the anti-opioid bandwagon. Look closely people, the bandwagon is running us over! If you take opioids for pain, or know someone who does, please do the public comment on the FDA regulations.gov site. Here is the link. https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=FDA-2017... This is one of those opportunities no one knows about until it is too late. Please do this asap. We can't complain if we don't try to fight. Take it to the… read more

I found another link that is directly to the modified blueprint - it's a 20 page document. I've just started to read it. Read this before making comments! https://www.fda.gov/downloads/drugs/newsevents/...

Try this link, it's for FDA comments on the use of long-acting opioids! https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=FDA-2017...
I hope this is the document that @A MyChronicPainTeam Member is discussing. If not, continuing on the search "opioid Regulations" and see what else comes up. It will show on the right hand side of the page what stage it's in (ie, when comments are due.) If you have any questions as to how to word comments on a regulatory language document, contact me on my home page - I used to do these types of comments on a regular basis!

In some areas doctors did over prescribe, but a rush to over regulate is destroying people with chronic pain who have already tried the other treatments. We can not trade one group of lives for another.

I support the opioid restrictions they have been prescribed like candy that it does need a complete overhaul and help in really not causing more harm them good.

Here are 2 more websites that you may find helpful!

https://www.fda.gov/downloads/drugs/drugsafety/... (This is the actual original blueprint, a 20 page document developed in Jan 2017 by the FDA. Go to the Website for fda.gov and search for FDA Opioid Blueprint if this link does not take you there.

https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=FDA-2017... This is the link to the Site at Regulations.gov showing the Federal Register notice on the "Blueprint" and a call for comments, including how to submit those comments.

I'm still looking for the proposed revisions published that they are asking for comments on. Will post additional information if/when I can find the document(s).
