Hi everyone this is @A MyChronicPainTeam Member. I have been on tramadol for more than 8 years now. My GP has me on tramadol capsules and injections for acute pain. He has also tried putting me on one dose of slow release tramadol twice a day to control my pain levels. The tramadol has failed to keep my pain levels under control. With two doctors in my family, I'm very well informed about the risks and benefits of opiod pain medication. I have had oxycodone prescribed in the past, and had no… read more

Yes, they are. They have already taken one of the market. It makes it more difficult for those of us whom suffer daily. I already have to pee in a cup every time I get my pain medicine refilled, have it counted, questioned about my usage, bring in all my meds at each appointment, in general made to feel like a criminal and an addict which I am not. All because some addicts are using pain meds to get high and overdosing. If it wasn't the pain meds it would be something else. I get so tired if hearing about the epidemic of overdosing on pain meds. I know it's a ploy if some networks to avoid talking about the bigger issues. How the current administration is not solving problems but making it worse. He is also in favor of stricter regulations on pain meds and one of reasons why the latest pain meds was taken off the market by the FDA.

Seems like you would benefit from going to a pain doctor. Tramadol injections use to help me a little but taking the pills by mouth did little to no help. It is a shame that so many people abuse the pain medication so people like us who need it cannot get the medication or need stronger medicine

I think it's a shame that doctors are refusing patients pain medication and providing medication that doesn't always work for many patients.? It's almost impossible nowadays to convince your doctor to put you on an opiate for pain. Doctors are caving into the fear from the DEA. I think this has gotten so ridiculous that we have medication that can help with the suffering and legitimate pain patients are being denied treatment.
