Forgetfullness
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Who else, besides me, forgets sometimes all your symptoms or issues when you go to the ER or a specialist and need to write them down in a pocket book to refer to? What other things do you do to remember?

I keep this done myself. I just type it up on my computer and print it up. I put down everything I shared with you on mine. If I can't speak, it speaks for me. Got the idea from the Canadian Medic Alert Foundation's medical sheet they use.

I have missed or turned up for appointments on the wrong day and I just about remember to take my medication. I walk round in circles all day in a dream but I'm happy its all the other lol

I created a medical alert file that I carry with me in my purse everywhere I go. I list my personal information on it that any doctor would need if s/he was treating me:
Name, address, home and cell numbers, blood type, religion, 2 emergency contacts, all allergies to medications, and then I list my medical and mental disorders, followed by the medications I take and how much of them. ER staff and paramedics LOVE this because everything they need to know is right there in fron of them. I keep it up to date once/month.

I always write things down and make sure that I go over each issue with my Dr. I think that's the best way to do it especially when you have fibro. I know in my case I have difficulty remembering and it's easy to get side tracked.
