Members shared their varied experiences with cannabis and CBD products for chronic pain management, with some finding relief through vaping CBD or combining it with traditional pain medications, while others reported side effects like headaches or drowsiness from certain oils and pastes. Several members offered practical suggestions, including trying hemp oil purchased online, exploring different CBD formulations through Facebook user groups, consulting with pain management doctors about cannabis as part of a treatment plan, and topical application for localized pain. A recurring theme was the ongoing search for alternatives to opioid medications, concerns about drug testing and legality, and the recognition that cannabis products do not eliminate pain entirely but can make it more bearable and help shift focus away from discomfort.

Hi Mandy, I’m trying to get off meds too. A few months ago I tried H+B CBD oil but it just gave me migraine, works for some people though. I’ve decided to try again with CBD Brothers Green oil. If you search online for them you can ask for some samples. There are FB sites to get information about the different CBD oils. Some are better for pain, some for anxiety etc. I’ve read comments that it doesn’t take pain away completely but it makes it bare able with no side effects.
The websites selling the oil aren’t allowed to give any information, so the best place to get an understanding of the oils is FB. I’ve heard mention of the pastes but I don’t know anything about them.

I added CBD to my vapping and it provides more back pain relief thenwithout it, I have heard that equal amounts THC and CBD are most benifical for pain relief

I see a pain doc in Toronto. Cannabis is one of my treatments along side Codiene Contin. The Codiene doesn't take my pain levels down enough. On days when I run out of Cannabis ( I have to pay out of pocket), I suffer. The Cannabis doesn't remove the pain sensation but it helps to take my mind off of the pain; and that is golden! My doc has me vape dried cannabis. My childhood family doc sent me to my pain doc for the medical marijuana program and he also put me on Codiene Contin; I think my doctors are wonderful! Saved my life in my opinion.

I’ve not had any experience with CBD oil and drug testing. If you’re on FB there are a number of CBD user forums. They will be able to advise you.
