Has Anyone Tried CBD Or Hemp Oil To Treat Chronic Pain?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have read quite a bit about CBD used for pain relief. I ordered a free sample that I would like to try as my doctor has weaned me off of Oxycodine. My concern is how it might react to other medications. I have an appointment in 3 weeks. I plan to discuss this with him, I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with this. I have chronic pain from spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis in back and hips.

Hi... I also have spinal stenosis and osteo. And I have the worst restless leg syndrome coupled with leg cramps and muscle spasms. I just started with a new pain management doctor after enduring the last one for 8 yrs. He increased my Percocet to 4 a day and raised it to 10mg from 7.5mg. much better so far. I also take 600mg of gabapentin 4 times a day and 4mg of tizanidine 3 times a day. You would think I would be knocked out but I'm not. However my pain level has dropped from 8 to 4 a good part of the day. A miracle after what I went through with the previous doctor for all those years. At least this one is trying to manage my pain.

Thank you to everyone who answered my questions. My Dr. told me yesterday that he had given me as many pain killers that he could. Then I told him that I was using CBD. Off the record, he encouraged me to use it. I Have started using gummies and like them better than the oil. Also I hope everyone will be safe during hurricane Florence. Thank you all for your friendship.

Faye, if you have access to edibles I would suggest those rather than puffing weed (because of your grand/great grandkids) or using CBD (which doesn't work as well as "they" claim!).
If you can get edibles from a club, they're the best bet because you can use a sucker and just take a lick of it whenever you need to in order to relieve your pain. Of course, you want to be sure the kiddies can't get into your edibles, that goes without saying.
Ask your doctor if he's registered to prescribe Suboxone and if he thinks it will help you.

I have started using CBD and have noticed a big difference in my pain level. My friends have said "It is nice to see you smile again!" It hasn't taken away my pain completely, but is more tolerable.

I use Medical Marijuana and it helps with inflammation, sleep, pain, depression. According to my dr, there are no interactions with meds due to the fact that CBD effects different areas in the brain than medications. I don't know if this is true, but after two months of using it, it has truly helped me. I hope this helps. Hugs.
