I'm looking to go to a doctor for the first time in my entire life about my ongoing pain. I've had full-body pain for as long as I can remember, even as a very small child.

In the past, I've been written off as having "growing pains" or "making things up for attention". What can I expect now that I am speaking for myself?

Also, what do I need to bring, have, or explain to a doctor?

I would start right at the top and go to mayo first you have to be accepted then once you are in they are just the best and will do and send you to who ever they need to get the diagnoses right as that is the best battle you can have is to know up front what is wrong then they will start to treat. good luck wish you all the best

Bring this. Ask him isnt inflamation the reason for pain ? Listen carfully . take notes dat and time dr referals and summary after. Ask him if a Rumatolagist diagnoses and treats inflamation can you help me find one and schedule one with experience in widespread cronic inflamation and pain. His answer is yes or ti ou are at wrong dr and need to correct that. Educate yourself now rare search engine for drs diagnoseing extreamly rare diseases called find zebra.com. and for referals INOD In Need Of Diagnosis A group of highly traind nurses in florida that will give you the best drs in your case. Educate yourself first. Take notes. Take to every appt let dr read quietly. Also along with sumary note what you hope to accomplish at this visit. 17 years in bed. On Enbrel 3 yrs for widespread cronic pain or Ankolosing Spondolytis Arthritis of the Spine withe reactive arthritis look it up. Iam much better know. Please refraim from throwing full blown diagnosis at dr. This wil just interrupt his train of thought. Instead generalize ,isn't inflamation what causes pain. Is that what ruematalagist treat? Remeber to get referred and scheduled before you leave. And get 4 drs from INOD, medicare hotline PC etc. You dont have to be on medicare to get drs info from hotline.

They will order blood test etc according to what you are telling them and you'll go back in for diagnosis and possibly a referral to a specialist.. They may label it as something but the real problem is likely toxicity and inflammation. Detox is key. Watch Dr Morse videos on u tube and he'll tell you the reason for any ailment and how to correct it. Pain is the body telling you telling you there's a problem. Don't put a bandaid on it, fix it. Chemical pills only treat the symptoms not the root problem. Dr Morse who's a naturopath will tell you how to reverse it. Type his name and a symptom and the videos on that will come up. He's trying to wake the world up on why theres so much illness. Good luck to you.
