Has anyone else's pain management doctor gone so far as to suggest that PAS, physician assisted suicide, is "an option" for treating your intractable pain? Since when has this " treatment" been acceptable!?

Hi, I have been on Lyrica for about 6 months and have put on about 12 kgs. The problem is it is mostly around my middle section and added to the chronic pain it is getting me down. Has anyone else experienced weight gain while on Lyrica and how do you combat it. Really need to be able to lose some of this weight as the extra kgs are making my back pain worse.

Chronic pain patients need help to get the medication they need. Drug addicts now use meth, heroin, etc. They no longer use opioids because they are so hard to get. Help is needed. My husband told me that Pres. Trump said he’d like to do away with half of all pain meds use! I’ve been on pain meds off and on from 21 to mid 30’s since I had received approx. 20+ surgeries in that time. Then 20 years ago ruptured L-4 and L-5, L-5 S-1. Pain was unbearable . I know that they are bad people out there, but we are not one of them, and yet we get treated like we are bad, because we are in pain and what helps us is being decided by people who do not feel what we do

Pancreatitis pain

Primary doctor suggested that I try marijuana instead of more opiates. I need to ask my pain doctor first a I signed a paper saying that I would only get pain meds from him. I have an appointment on January 5th and I want to go with some information about the success of using marijuana. I also need to know what to ask for. I'm really not interested in smoking it as I've never smoked before. Rx Marijuana is legal here in Arizona so that is not an issue.
