Orthoscopic Shoulder Surgery
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I having been dealing with shoulder pain in both shoulders for about 2 years. I was seeing my rheumatologist for it- he really did nothing. I went to see my ortho dr. He immediately did xrays and sent me to physical therapy in September. It has helped some- with pain management- but has not and is not going to fix the problems. I have torn rotator cuffs with arthritis and muscle damage as well. He has injected them a couple of different times-they usually don't last but for a few days, but the… read more

The surgery is needed and you will get through it. I had shoulder surgery about 20 years ago and I do NOT have any pain with it now. I had a great orthopedic surgeon who I had good faith in and I know he would do the job right. Just try to think positive: the pain from the surgery will last a little while but your shoulders will be better in the end. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Degenerative Disc Disease along with Fibromyalgia. One day at a time. Write any time. Lorri

I recently had shoulder surgery for the exact same thing. I was in pain for so long before the surgery having to do therapy and injections to satisfy my insurance. My recovery went so well and in a way was easy since i went thru so much before it. I will be praying that you have a quick and easy recovery as i did.
