Is Anyone Else Being Treated Like A Junkie Because They Are In Pain?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I asked for help to get off the addictive shit they been giving me since 2003 and the pa treated me like crap. Got half smart, made it seem as tho i was drug seeking for asking for something to come off of neurontin instead of weening off of them. Ive tried that several times and it doesn';t work, They got me hooked on them now act like they don't want to help me get off of them

People dont realize how hard it is to get off gabapentin
. Do it yourself. Benzo buddies can help you with a microtaper. Pain is the new aids/leprosy. Sadly most ppl, even drs have no probs discriminating against us. I would risk the "Dr shopping" flag and look for a new one.

I'm very sorry... It's happened to me so many times I lost count. My life is destroyed from prescriptions.... Everyday I'm trying to wean off oxycodone and have no life because of it.they don't take the responsibility after they addicted to these drugs they act as if it's your fault. ☹️☹️☹️☹️❤️

May I suggest Kratom as a way of tapering off narcotics...
If you Google Kratom bible it gives in depth information.
Best of luck

I’m at the mercy of my prescribing doctor… He’s a rheumatologist and the only thing he’s diagnosed me with chronic pain and Raynauds...I honestly don’t know what I would do if he cut me off...I lock up my meds in the safe when necessary and I’m very careful about it as I’ve never asked for an early refill. Between dysautonomia ,spinal stenosis,Raynauds...And what I believe to be Cipro induced peripheral neuropathy....Another bed day😔

So what will you do about the pain if get off the meds? If you can handle it without the meds the very slow reduction method can work, clonidine helps with opiod withdrawal. Your right though, asking for help is like saying label me a junkie and they think you have no pain.
