Dental Issues And CRPS
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been living with CRPS for years. I am terrified as I know I have got to have something done as my teeth have been neglected and I'm having some major problems. My doc said she will work with a dentist to explain RSD-CRPS and how it may impact my condition. Now I have to find someone who will do the work and it may mean multiple extraction. No Money and most dental is NOT covered. Anyone have experience with this or know of denists in MAINE that have experience with this? Thanks. I'm… read more

I had horrible teeth because of all of the pain meds I was on. I suffer from CRPS/RSD too, but mine has stayed where major injuries have occured...so far. In September of 2016 I had all of my teeth extracted and dental implants installed by a private oral surgeon and not by the big guys you see advertise on TV. It was a long process but I'm so happy with my results and my mouth is totally PAIN FREE now. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about the procedure or the process. Even if you go the denture route, it will still change your life for the better!! Best wishes for your new smile!

Do you have a dental school or university with a dental department. I've had to use our university $20 for extractions free exams and cheap care. I'm getting a partial plate on the Top teeth . For a fraction of the cost and the student is 3rd or 4th yr with teacher's who practiced for years and years or experience I'd say check out any dental schools. Take care

I had all my upper teeth extracted in July. I have dentures that are still being "fitted" with new lining every 3 weeks and doing better now. Medicare added some dental coverage and I was able to afford what my end cost was! A great relief. I don't know enough about the implant process, as that was not covered or affordable for me. Good luck to you...

Thank you. I have been on a waiting list for months, but it may be the best option.

Look Online if you can. Two years ago all i did was found an advertisement for free dental, called them did basic info and they found me a dentist that pulled out most of my teeth for free. Even free dentures!!! Had to drive a half hour, but for free!!! I*ll look through my pile of papers and see if i saved something and let you know!
