Need Doctor In Cincinnati Badly
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I moved to Cincinnati from Los Angeles 4 years ago with my Doberman service dog. On 345 mg of morphine. My regular doctor at the University of Cincinnati medical center wrote it to begin but he referred me to their pain management clinic. The quack moron in that clinic no sooner introduced himself before he spouts this lie about the state requiring him to lower my dose to 60 mg. ?!?!?!?! SIXTY mg?????? You must be joking. So then he says "well, you can look for another doctor to write it the… read more

Many states are on a 90mme, 60mme, 50mme. Max dose. Morphine milligram equivalent.
Not milligrams.
There are mme calculators online, but not all the same. Most will use the CDC one, of course.
Most CPPs have been tapered to these doses, or abandoned completely on meds. That's why it's important to get involved w these groups thst are trying to change things. We've been at it for over 6 +yrs! We need everyone on board.
People are having surgeries w no pain meds, amputation, masectomies, etc! It's cruel & inhumane!! Ambulances not having or offering pain meds in a trauma setting now! Stop elective surgeries. Hit them in the pocket book! $$$
Need to sign petitions fighting these things, write comments on fed registers, these are Guidelines, not laws! But state med boards took them as laws & won't let Dr's RX proper doses. We are not a one size fits all medical conditions! Individualized care is needed!!
See pain groups on FB ,American Pain &,disability, don't Punish Pain, who have been fighting for you for many years now. We need everyone! 500 million pain patients & only 1000 sign a petition?? Pathetic!
Contact your medical boards, state legislation, etc. Bring pain care back into your dr office, without government influence. They are practicing medicine without a license.
Iicitt fentanyl is POISONING everyone. Not RX overdoses. Is always been street drugs, less then 3% pain patients addict. Addiction is predisposed.

I went to the Lucille Dr location and saw a doctor named Timothy Burroughs who is no longer a doctor there. They discharged me from the clinic claiming I disagreed with their treatment plan. I did talk to my regular doctor today about all this trouble I'm having and the fact that we're leaving Cincinnati if I can't get this straight and he agreed to hold me here at 240 mg. So this did work out for me and hopefully I acclimate to this 240 mg dose ASAP. Thanks for the support.
