I have a spinal cord stimulator. This is actually my second one. This is the Nevro high frequency kind. I think it does help somewhat, but it is not life changing. If you do decide to get one, I really recommend the high frequency kind. I had the older style before, and even on its highest frequency setting, it started driving me nuts. The parasthesia that was supposed to counteract the pain signals only irritated my system. With the hf model, I really can't feel the parasthesia; it theoretically disrupts the pain signals without my feeling an alternate sensation.

Whatever your decision, I hope you somehow achieve some control over your pain. You, like many of us, have had a rough go of it, and you need some relief!
Let us know what you decide. Ok?

Don't do it. I've had a DVD since 2017 and have no pain relief with it.

Hi. Im preparing for a SCS Implant(Spinal Cord Stimulator) to knock pain out below my waist. Im short, a nerve was DAMAGED during a Partial Knee Replacement surgery and I have suffered from Chronic Pain ever since. My nerves now misfire and I have pain in both legs and right arm, almost non-ambulatory
The surgeon who damaged me tried to pin my pain on my body by diagnosing CRPS Type 1 as opposed to calling it what it was ie, NERVE DAMAGE. Anyway, 3 1/2 years later, 18 different medications later, & numerous shots later, I am now going to try this SCS implant. I FEAR placing another piece of metal in my body...anyone have any luck with these devices? It really isnt what i want, but I NEED PAIN RELIEF sooner than later. Any suggestions will help. Thanks, Kat
