Hi Kitty, my flares are an increase in body wide pain and/or upper back/lower back pain, headaches, etc. I have never run a fever with a flare or had cold symptoms. Just my experience. Also I don't have nausea, vomiting or diarrhea with a flare. A common symptom with flares and the flu would be fatigue and body wide aches and pains (making it a little hard sometimes). I only run a fever with strep throat. Hope this helps a bit. Oh, and I am talking about fibromyalgia.
