Well This Is A Bad Day. Ever Feel Like Everything Bad Seems To Seek Out Your Depression Days?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question đź’

So yeah I had aqua therapy yesterday and I am in pain today, we are both depressed and trying to get through it and we just found out Anthony Bourdain committed suicide, due to depression! On top of all this, there are certain people who I am trying to distance myself from, that won't quit texting me in an attempt to pull me back in. I am already in pain, am depressed, they disrespected that and caused me trouble and I find out Anthony died! What's a person to do?!

I think they kind of feed on each other and it kind of goes without saying, but that is maybe just me. I do know the best thing you can do, if possible is not let the depression take you over and it`s… read more

Has Your Physician Offered "Abuse Deterrent" Options For Pain Medication?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question đź’

As a Pain Management Pharmacy we work with manufacturers and suppliers to be prepared for shortages before they happen. To be proactive we educate Pain Management Doctors on the few abuse deterrent options that are available. This includes Oxycodone options that have abuse deterrent properties, but are still Oxycodone and still effective for those who need it. Prescribers are understandably reluctant to change a medication regimen because none of us like change when something is working… read more

An option would be something like “Roxybond” which is an abuse deterrent version that is new and not a lot of physicians are prescribing it, so it’s more available.

I'd Like To Know: How Do You Get Your Motivation Back After Hitting An All Time Low?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question đź’

How do you get your motivation back after a long fight with pain. The feeling of giving up when nothing seems to go right? When those you talk to say they don't wanna hear it anymore? When you have so much that needs done but your body won't cooperate and you feel overwhelmed.

Biofeedback, Meditation, Physical Therapy, Something Besides Drugs?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question đź’

I am trying to clean (my last question), and I am just aggravated by people who say do yoga and stuff. I don't make it halfway through the hour-long sessions, guys. However, it is supposed to help my fibromyalgia. I answered a question about hydrocodone, which is junky and did nothing for me, but neither did Porceset (sp) or even morphine. I just fell asleep and woke up every 2 hours for a new dose of either one. But I'm interested in helping myself defeat pain if I had someone to go in with me… read more

If so how do you cope with the pain that changed your life!!! I don’t know if it’s just me but when I was told we are trying to deal with your pain and give you some quality of life back 🤔really are we to feel so much better to live with health issues I mean it just can’t be me that knows by your Drs saying that to you that you actually feel so much better and still dealing with pain, quality of life back sounds like it should be said to the patients that even though they are suffering they’ll… read more

Has Anyone Had A Pain Pump & A Scs?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question đź’

My Dr. is talking about putting in a pain pump & changing me from nortiptolene to gabapantin. All would be used in combination with the spinal cord stimulator. Please understand that my body is the exception not the rule. I suffer from crps in my back, left lower leg (just below knee), & in my left foot. I have had 7 surgeries on my leg/foot already. I have to go see a cardiovascular surgeon on the 30th. I have decreased circulation in my leg/foot. Also, my foot has a purple tint to it. Worst… read more

Does Anyone Have Experience Of Taking Duloxetine?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question đź’

I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, amongst other things, but I'm in the process of changing over from an antidepressant that I've been taking for 27 years, for anxiety and depression. Im changing from Clomipramine to Duloxetine because Duloxetine, as well as being an antidepressant, apparently helps with chronic pain. I wondered if anyone on here has experience of either, changing over, and/or taking Duloxetine? I'd appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you.

Describe Yourself
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question đź’

This is a question I must answer, as I feel it helps docs understand their patient. If you want (no names will be included) if you want to use one or so words to describe "yourself". It might be - Lonely, Abandoned, Content when I can, etc... So instead of saying Blue eyes, blonde hair, etc... you are describing the YOU with Chronic Pain. Some maybe be physical (do you always look good), but much will be on an emotional level. This is what is hard for others to understand. Pain is… read more
