I've been suffering from chronic pain since 2019 after I was rear-ended. I have fibromyalgia that developed shortly after the accident. I saw in my medical records recently that my pain management doctor had also diagnosed me with Chronic Pain Syndrome. I didn't even know that was a thing.
If you've been diagnosed with it what have your doctors done and what have you found helpful for your pain?
from what ive experienced, the term is used more as a blanket of things they arent sure about, its a way to show other doctors that might be considering you for a treatment plan that you do have something. chronic means more then a few months i believe, so its a term used to cover any long term pain that persists. i'd try asking your doctor about whats next on the way to either get treatment, or medication. I hope everything goes well!
I do from having a stroke back in 2015. It’s almost completely consumed my life. It’s horrible. I’m almost bed bound and rarely go out anymore.
In two weeks I’m having a Risotomy done to see if it helps. I take 10mg Oxy, 13.5mg Xtampza and Baclofen for the muscle cramps.
There’s a lot of research being done to help people like us. Some 70 million people.
