Members confirmed that constipation often drains energy and can cause discomfort, bloating, and even elevated blood pressure, with many emphasizing the importance of not letting it persist. Several members shared their go-to remedies, including prescription medications like Linzess and Dulcolax, over-the-counter options like Miralax and fiber supplements, natural solutions such as prune juice, magnesium, probiotics, and high-fiber foods like cucumbers, celery, and salads, as well as the consistent advice to stay hydrated and keep moving with gentle walks or upright activity. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works for each individual body, with members offering encouragement to experiment with different combinations and not feel discouraged if one approach doesn't solve the problem alone.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member hello how are you doing Marty I do feel like I have no energy whatsoever when I get constipated - which I do get quite often as I am taking Antidepressants for anxiety and depression daily and I asked for some ideas concerning how to get some normal bowel movements and I have started taking Osmolax (Osmatic Laxative which is an effective relief if constipation snd the prescription includes 2 x 510 grams of the medication for $6.70 total!

You need to save some of that stuff you have to drink for a colonoscopy. Then when constipated, a small glass should uncorked you in 15 minutes. But make sure if you drink it you've got nothing planned for a few hours.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member you're too funny! I'm finding when I take a walk it works well! Walking helps so many issues.

Hi @A MyChronicPainTeam Member....When the road to relief occasionally encounters a traffic jam I find Restoralax works pretty well as it's not a laxative, it just adds some hydration to your bowels so things start moving again. I hope you're doing well. Hang in there..I figure it's like the saying what goes up must come down and what goes in must come out...lol...Take care...GBU
