How can you say that you are an expert in this field of research when you don’t know how much a person supposedly suffers this pain

An example: a person who experiences CES and then goes into broken spine, CES, functional neuropathy, ulnar nerve damage, fibromyalgia and lots of other disorders to say that people are an expert in their field of study when then they know that they are not peer reviewed or even an expert in the field
