For OIC (opioid-induced constipation), there are several drugs that work. I currently take Linzess and Movantik, and have no constipation! The fact that the VA took your pain meds away without tapering is nothing short of malpractice. I'm sorry that they put you through that. I am a vet, but I don't go to the VA for healthcare, so I'm not sure about the processes/procedures involved. I would still appeal their actions. If it was the decision of one doctor to withhold the medication, consider filing a complaint with the licensing board.
Yeah it’s ashamed they take away the meds that help you. Just because of the abuse of others. Same with anxiety meds.
The VA took my pain meds because I was taking CBD oil. cut me off with no tampering meds, after giving them to me for over 25 years. now they say it's bad for people with chrons, because it causes constipation, i tell them chrons cause diarrhea but it doesn't matter what I say. I know the CDC and the surgeon general say to treat each case individually
