Outlets And Downtime?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I would love to know what you folks do as an outlet, a healthy outlet, such as hobbies or activities, that help deal with loneliness, sorrow, depression, anxiety, and a reprieve from fear. I love playing outside, always have, but never really realized how important it was for me to get some days in the sun while I play. What are you do? Or what things do you do? :-)

Does Anyone Know Where To Go & How To Manage Housing Assistance & Utilities Assistance While Working On Disability When You Have No One?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I used to think my roommate (ex-husband) was my only real friend & help. I see now that is not even so. We have been thru a lot together as husband & wife, & friends. I even supported him financially after we split up while he applied for disability & fought for 9 years w/ attorneys & lost. I worked 2 full-time jobs while we were still together. Paid what bills he could not when I was living with my ex boyfriend. Now the tables are turned & he has the business I once did. Not willing to put the… read more

Also after I've had a short walk, later in the day, my surgical site is very very stiff and painful- is this part of recovery does anyone know? Why Are Drugs Mostly Always The Answer?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have lower back pain for years. Now I have Sciatica along with everything else. I have gone to Neurologists, Ortho guys, my Primary, a Chiro and a few others, and mostly the only thing offered to me is Drugs. I can have "anything I want" from Asprin to Percoset. I dont want any of it. I want to find a treatment or cure that I can actually live with. PT doesnt work for me bevause it only brings on more pain. I'm 71, I'd like to enjoy the years I have left.

Being in the medical field, like others here, some of us have noticed that medicine is the first line of defense. And that may save a life. It has to be individualized. But many times, getting to… read more

Is There Any Treatment Besides Surgery To Correct A Reverse Lordosis In The Cervical Spine?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

After 3 cervical spine surgeries, I now suffer from stenosis in the cord, and constant pain. I get shots to release the knots, but they return and crimp the bones. The pain is only part, my arms and legs are losing sensation, or spasm wildly to the point of cramping .
