Dr. James Cyriac has practiced in a number of clinical settings — private practice, academics, and managed care. His clinical experiences bring a practical approach to his educational style. As an anesthesiology specialist, Dr. Cyriac enjoys the hands-on, procedural aspects of regional anesthesiology and acute pain management. His primary teaching focus is the proper evaluation of patients for regional anesthesia, the selection of appropriate intervention and management, and the avoidance of complications. Dr. Cyriac’s goal is for all UC Irvine trainees to be clinically competent consultants in anesthesiology and perioperative care.
