Members shared mixed experiences with keeping pain diaries, with some finding value in tracking patterns over time while others felt it became emotionally draining or that doctors weren't interested in the information. Several members described practical approaches, including using phone apps for convenience, noting medication timing and weather patterns to identify triggers, and journaling informally when new symptoms emerge rather than daily. A recurring theme was the challenge of maintaining consistency, with some finding the practice kept them too focused on pain while others appreciated having a place to vent and track their journey, even if it felt pointless at times.

I did for years. Being so long into it, I dont typically unless I notice something new starting and then I track it in a journal.

Does anyone have tips to share> What sort of things do you record? I have no idea of where to start with one. I did download an app but never use it. I think I would do better doing it the old fashion way, pen and paper.

I have not had a pain diary but I think that would be a great idea for me. Thank you

I've been meaning to start one. I just don't know what all I should write down though.

I recently found an app that is used as a pain diary. I just need to be better about using it.
