Did anyone else taking Venlafaxine become aggressive?
Within 5 days of starting the medication for panic disorder, anxiety and agoraphobia I was shouting at every one. I had no patience (even waiting for a page to load on the computer got me all wound up).
I wanted to fight the world from behind my curtains!

You know it is categorized as an antidepressant? Be careful about weight gain. Yes you can become "angry" etc., you may get used to the med and get over it, or you may just need to change to something else. I quit taking that category of med just because of the weight gain. I do, however get angry, periodically, particularly at machines, i.e. the computer taking so long and doing it's own thing instead of what I want it to do. You just have to be aware of it and go to another room or some other distraction to avoid hurting the ones you love. Track your "side effects" and decide if you can control them or if you need to change to something else.

Interesting I've been on it a few years and I'm angry 24 7 with no patience. I have depression fibromyalgia and borderline personality disorder so I blamed that. But when I switches anti depressant to mertazipine I was even worse.
