Members shared a wide range of non-medicinal approaches for managing lower back pain and sciatica, with TENS units emerging as a popular recommendation that several people found helpful for daily pain relief, and aqua therapy paired with ice also receiving strong endorsement. Many community members described their struggles with various treatments, including the challenges of finding effective exercises (noting that some movements can worsen pain depending on individual conditions), the potential benefits of kinesiology tape, mindfulness meditation, and working with skilled physiotherapists who understand chronic pain. A recurring theme was the complexity of managing severe spinal conditions when standard treatments fail, the difficulty accessing appropriate pain management after losing a trusted provider, and the importance of exploring multiple options while being cautious about which exercises or therapies might aggravate rather than relieve symptoms.

There are exercises for sciatica that I've heard work. I tried but the way my vertebrate is twisted and has the disc jammed against the nerve it made the pain worse so it depends on the severity of your condition.
