A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

My Nurse practitioner kind of left me out in the cold. I went to see another doctor and he was fine with writing my for my pain as long as i reduced and he would be fine with that. Now he is changing his tune and lowering me and telling me how he wants to put a pump in me. I explained i didn't want a pump and then he suggested a two week vacation from my pain medication. So I am begging the community who knows anything about southern Cal to let me know if you know of a kind and caring Dr who… read more

You may want to try a back pain stimulator, I'm on heavy pain meds and I want off so bad, 8 years of pain and even I know the importance of taking a break or your body keeps craving more to work
The insurance companies theses days won't continue to even pay for our pain meds if they don't see us trying to help ourselves in other ways, it's really sad cause they don't understand our pain, I've talked to several doctors about this, like I said try checking other avenues, I hope this helps

My stimulator implant has been with me for 12 years and considering my pain level I do still need the opiate. This year I've been reduced, 3 withdraw episodes so far because of insurance company refusals to fill my scripts and then the delivery screw ups because of hard copy not getting mailed in soon enough. It's been a horrific year for me, thank God I've had the use of my stimulator, mine never gets turned off. I say if your insurance will cover it, give it a try, what do you have to lose

I get them by mouth, I told him I would break his neck if he ever gave me steroid shots. They do eat your insides up..
