Naproxen we have been told that this tablet is not good for the heart and to stop taking it. Is this true.

It is true, naproxen is very bad for your kidneys, so I don't take it anymore.
I do suffer from chronic pain, the lumbar section of my back only if i stand up. For pain managenent the Dr. gives me Lyrica with xtra strength tylenol.
