Members discussed whether to see a physiotherapist or osteopath for fibromyalgia and chronic pain, with most encouraging the original poster to consult their doctor first for personalized local recommendations. Several members shared positive experiences with osteopaths who performed manual manipulations, noting significant pain relief from holistic treatments and hands-on adjustments. A recurring theme was addressing pain as the priority since reducing physical discomfort often helps lift depression naturally.

I had an osteopath doctor for a family doctor and 2 different osteopaths for 2 of my 3 pregnancies and I loved them all. I had sciatica with my 2nd pregnancy and he could give me his adjustments that relieved my pain. If you can, try the osteopaths!
