Are You Getting The Flu Shot This Year?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Some versions of the Flu Shots are better than others. I have heard there is a Senior Flu Shot and will discuss with my GP. His opinion will be pro shot, What is yours and why?

I get it before every Winter. I got a bad case of the flu which knocked me down for 2 weeks. I couldn't do anything, even shower. I couldn't keep my temperature down. It was the worse sickness ever. People who say they have the flu and continue to work, most certainly do not have the flu. More like a cold. I get a four strain immunisation. I've never been sick since having the shots. Best decision ever.

I had my flu shot in November at work when it was offered.
But I was getting sick the last week of December started with a β€œfrog in my throat β€œ, then on got into urgent care that Friday before the holiday. Well they tested for everything. I got a VM that evening of you need to contact us.
I looked on my medical forum and I tested positive for Flu A. Finally got meds started on Saturday afternoon. Was sick till Thursday Friday of next week. Then feeling better.
Worked whole way through. 1st time I have ever been officially diagnosed with the Flu!!!! Stank being stuck at home!!!
So you never know. I never dreamed I had the Flu!!!

I've got it every year since it was available and have never any adverse reaction. My son and his family don't get it and have had the flu several times and been really sick for weeks. My doctor recommends I have it because I have so many illnesses to deal with.
