I have been on gabapentin for r years now..at my max possible dose..I dont get any relief but its when I dont have it the pain is even more unbearable...they neglected to tell me that withdrawal from gabapentin aka neurontin has serious and long term withdrawal..just look into that as well so u have full knowledge of the drug..They r using that now instead of giving opiates obviously because of the opiod crisis yet gabapentin is becomming, hasnt yet but need to show id and will be soon as well a contolled substance..just be careful cause now its like im in so much pain yet cant come off it because it totally increases the pain and withdrawals are horrible..good luck

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member I am so glad and thankful that you are no longer in that toxic relationship
They always prey on us when we are extremely vulnerable knowing that they will get away with it because we are solely dependent on them
Not sure if you have read my story but I to have suffered horrific abuse, physical, sexual, financial, drugs, the list goes on all at the hands of numerous monsters but look at us now and you to my TT they did not break us they made us stronger women not to be messed with
I wish I could blink like eye dream of genie does and boom you would be here TT or I there with you to care for you after your infusion to cook for you clean, make you cuppas, comfort you and nurse you back after each and every infusion I would never even hesitate sweetie as long as I could soothe your pain and nurse you back to health and make you smile and laugh anything you need I would do for you my special sister
Anyway anytime anywhere I love you @A MyChronicPainTeam Member aka (my TT) xxxx

Hi there. Yes I have been on Zoloft. It is an anti depressant not a pain killer. It helped me with my depression when I needed it the most. Although I did find that it took about six weeks to kick in. I have now slowly weaned mysel off by tapering. My pain management is slow release opiates and Lyrica, with the occasional cortisone injections and radio neurotomy. My GP has cut me back on opiates so now I am finding it hard to control my pain. Always searching for new things. Can only live in hope.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member, Any medication taken for a period of time your body will depend on. Whether you become addicted mentally is kind of a heredity thing. You probably know if you are the type of person who gets addictions. The meds you are speaking about are usually used by Psych. and need to build up to a blood level over a period of time...You usually have to gradually decrease to get off and start a new one.. I have been on every pain killer there is and I cannot function on them. It was very hard to go through the physical withdrawal, but I did each time. I have not been on Zoloft but everyone is different and you have to give them time. If it helps with pain or 'whatever' ask your Dr. about adding something for sleep if that continues.. Hugs QT
