I have fibromyalga among other things and i am not sure what my options are. Is it covered by EI or private insurance. Im not sure where to start
Hi Roxanne. I was in a car accident at work. I worked for three years after the accident till I starting collapsing at work and puking and anxiety up the waasu. I went on my work disability the first 6 months I really thought I was going back to work. That all changed. I stayed on disability and applied for Canada pension disability. They turned me down for some bogus reason. I wrote a seven page letter debunking their decision. Months later they changed their mind. Still waiting since August. I got an acceptance letter in late September. Still waiting. My work disability did a review in October thinking I could maybe go back to some kind of work lol. That was immediately stopped as the worker found out just how bad I am. But hey I look great.... there’s that judgment of the cover without reading the book. I wish you the best. Don’t give up. Never give up.
Yes if you live in Canada you Have 15 weeks of sickness benefits
I started taking off because of my fibromyalgia, a day here and a day there. It started hurting so bad I couldn't go to work! So I took a medical leave of absence! It ended up I had to quit my job because it wasn't fair for them to put up with my absences, I got on SSD because of my fibro and chronic depression! It took me 3 times before I was granted it! Had to get a lawyer! I don't know who says fibromyalgia isn't a dease( spelling) but they are full of crap! I hurt all of the time from it! At times I can't even stand! Gentle hugs and good luck to you!!
Work as long as you can. If it gets to the point you can no longer walk, or you can't take care of yourself, then by all means stop working but you should keep going as long as you are able. It's a lonely, solitary life otherwise.
Why did they turn you down twice.
