I’d Like Name Of A South NJ Physician To Prescribe Exalgo Again?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had sadly been prescribed Exalgo but my dr retired in his 70s now . Without Exalgo I’m suffering until ( days ) without sleep from maddening inhuman chronic intractable pain. I need to be able to care for my self ,basic self care . Like other 62 yr old non disabled human do. I’m a Medicaid patient in south NJ. I can only find physician to do alternatives not true main Managment . Please help my to be human again. I’m not addicted or a drug abuser.

I'm on Hydromorphone for chronic migraines (i average 26 days a month and out of those days 15+ plus are completely debilitating) and arthritis (just diagnosed w fibromyalgia). I go to a pain management clinic once a month. It's the only way to get approved for my pain meds. I'm just waiting for my insurance to cut me off. I do not abuse my meds. I take them as prescribed. It's the only thing that controls my pain. I'm sorry for those who do abuse them but they are effecting us in a negative way. I should not have to suffer for them.

Are u sure Medicaid would actually pay for a med like Exalgo? Im in Floida and dont know how different our Medicaid is but they would never pay for that here without the doctor jumping through major hoops. It has 3 types of meds in it and u arent even a candidate unless u have failed all other very specific treatments. Plus a host a illnesses can keep u from getting prescribed the drug. Good luck!

I used to live in Moorestown, NJ. I always went to a Philadelphia for any medical problem. Pennsylvania Hospital at 8th and Spruce. It is now part of University of Pennsylvania. My doctor wouldn’t let me have blood work or other tests done in NJ and forwarded to them! They didn’t trust the process. Call and find out if they take Medicaid. I have my hip replaced there and is now 20 years old!

Good luck,

Babe
